You Want It Easy, You Got It!

Think about all of the educational technology programs you have your students use.  The common theme among most of them is that they are easy to use.  Power Point.  Easy.  Publisher.  Easy.  Audacity.  Easy.  Students feel successful and teachers aren’t intimidated to use them with their students.  Oh, and they’re great tools for students to express their ideas using various formats.  Well, here’s another for you, Photo Story.  Easy.

            Photo Story is a Microsoft Windows program that allows you to create video stories.  Along with the video aspect of the program, you can add or import music, as well as, your voice.  Basically you import pictures into the program and set it up like a continuously running Power Point.  You set the amount of time each picture stays on the screen before the next one transitions in.  Another feature allows you to customize the motion of the picture.  You can customize the motion of each picture by specifying your start and ending point.  When you’re finished you have a professional looking digital story.
